Frequently Asked Questions
What brackets do I need?
Use Rothley oval rail end supports and, for runs over 900mm, a centre support bracket to prevent bowing under load. Brackets are sold separately.
Can I cut it to a shorter length?
Yes — the rail can be cut to length using a junior hacksaw or metal cutting blade. Deburr the cut end before fitting.
How much weight will it hold?
An oval rail with a centre bracket fitted at 900mm intervals will comfortably support a full wardrobe of clothing. Avoid spanning more than 900–1000mm without intermediate support.
Is it compatible with other brands of brackets?
Rothley oval rails are an industry-standard size and are compatible with most standard oval wardrobe rail supports. Confirm internal dimensions match before purchasing third-party brackets.
What fixings do I need?
End supports typically fix with wood screws into the wardrobe carcass or wall. Fixings are usually supplied with the bracket, not the rail.
Chrome-plated steel oval tube.
