Frequently Asked Questions
What surfaces can I use it on?
Suitable for interior bare or previously varnished wood including floorboards, staircases, skirting boards, furniture, window sills, and doors.
How many coats do I need?
For best results, apply 2–3 coats on bare wood, lightly sanding between each coat with fine sandpaper (240 grit). Allow each coat to dry fully before re-coating.
Is it waterproof?
Once fully cured (7 days), it provides excellent resistance to water, everyday spills, and household cleaning products. Wipe up spills promptly rather than allowing standing water.
Can I use it on floors?
Yes — Ronseal Diamond Hard is specifically formulated for high-traffic areas including floors and stairs. Apply a minimum of 3 coats for floor use.
What’s the drying time between coats?
Allow approximately 2–3 hours between coats at 20°C. In cooler or more humid conditions, extend the drying time before re-coating.
