Fleetwood Advanced Satinwood is a water-based paint for wood, metal and furniture, inside and out. It gives a smooth mid-sheen satin finish with the flow of a traditional oil paint – but it's quick drying, low odour and cleans up with water. This is the P base, tinted in store to the colour you choose.

  • Satin finish for doors, skirting, windows, trim, furniture and metalwork
  • Interior and exterior – up to 10 years exterior protection
  • Water-based and low odour – no white spirit needed
  • Tough, durable and uniform finish
  • Covers up to 12m² per litre – approx. 30m² per coat from this 2.5L tin
  • Touch dry in 30 minutes, recoat after 4 hours
  • 2.5L – tinted to order. Made in Ireland

Frequently Asked Questions

What does "P base" mean?
It's the base paint we tint to your chosen colour. Different bases suit lighter or deeper shades – just tell us your colour and we'll use the right one.

Can I use it outside?
Yes. Fleetwood Advanced is made for interior and exterior wood and metal, and gives up to 10 years protection outdoors.

Is it like an oil-based paint?
It gives the smooth flow and finish you'd expect from a traditional oil paint, but it's water-based – so it dries faster, has less smell and brushes wash out in soapy water.

Do I need an undercoat?
For bare or previously darker surfaces, use Fleetwood Advanced Primer Undercoat first. On sound, previously painted surfaces in a similar colour, a light sand and two coats is usually enough.

How much will I need?
With two coats, this 2.5L tin covers roughly 15m². As a guide, a standard internal door (both sides) is about 3.2m².

How long between coats?
It's touch dry in about 30 minutes and ready to recoat after 4 hours.

Available in store at Skibbereen & Bantry. We deliver to Cork City and West Cork.
