Frequently Asked Questions
Why does soil pH matter?
pH affects how well plants take up nutrients. For example, rhododendrons and azaleas need acid soil, while many vegetables prefer neutral soil.
How do I raise my soil pH?
Add lime, such as ground limestone.
How do I lower it?
Add sulphur or aluminium sulphate. Aluminium sulphate works fastest. Quantities depend on your soil type.
