It’s not designed for heavy construction work — for that, a heavy-duty electric or pneumatic tacker is more appropriate.
What staples does it use?
The Arrow JT21 fires JT21 staples in 6mm and 10mm leg lengths. Always use genuine Arrow JT21 staples for reliable feeding and firing — using incorrect staples can cause jams or misfires.
How do I load the staples?
Slide or swing open the magazine at the rear, insert a strip of JT21 staples, and close the magazine until it clicks. The visual window allows you to monitor the remaining staple count without opening the gun.
What do I do if it jams?
The JT21’s jam-proof mechanism is designed to minimise jams, but if one occurs, open the magazine and carefully remove any mis-fed staples with the built-in staple lifter. Never point the gun at yourself or others when clearing a jam.
Is it suitable for thick fabrics or hardwoods?
The JT21 is a light-duty tacker — best suited to thin softwood, fabric, and board materials. For hardwood, thick ply, or structural applications, a heavier-duty electric or pneumatic stapler is recommended.
