Sow liberally, but not too thickly, into finely raked, warm, moist, weed-free soil at a depth of 13 mm (1/2") in rows about 25 cm (10") apart. Germination 4-7 days. Thin seedlings as necessary. Sow small batches in succession every fortnight throughout the season. Grows best in well-cultivated soil containing plenty of organic matter. Pull before roots get too large; otherwise, they can be tough and unpalata ble. Water well in dry weather. Sowing to Cropping - 3-6 weeks.
