CAULIFLOWER - ALL THE YEAR ROUND
Sow Jan/Feb in a propagator on a windowsill or in a greenhouse at 10-15°C (50-60°F) using good quality compost. Cover seeds with 6 mm (4") sieved compost. Germination 7-12 days. Transplant seedlings into 7.5 cm (3") pots, grow on, and plant outside 50 cm (20") apart on each side. Can also be sown March-mid-June into a finely raked seedbed at a depth of 13 mm (1/2") for eventual transplanting. Otherwise, sow early autumn for over-wintering in a cold frame, planting out during spring. Sowing → Cropping - 20-24 weeks.
