Wet/Dry sandpaper is ideal for creating an ultra-fine finish on metal and wood surfaces. Preparing a surface with increasingly fine grits of wet/dry sandpaper creates a flawless finish and keys the surface for paint, varnish or filler application. Wet/dry sandpaper can also be used to knock back and smooth filler and primer in preparation for final top-coat coverage. The pack contains ten 9″ x 11″ (230mm x 280mm) sheets and includes four 180-fine grit sheets, two 240-very fine grit sheets, and four 600-extra fine grit sheets. Our assorted wet/dry sandpaper has a full Fleetwood guarantee for peace of mind.
Wet/dry sandpaper is primarily made of silicon carbide abrasive particles bonded to a flexible, waterproof backing (typically waterproof paper or cloth) using a synthetic, water-resistant resin. This construction allows it to be used with water or oil to reduce clogging and lower heat, making it ideal for wet sanding metal, plastics, and automotive paints.
