Hug Rug’s barrier technology is independently tested to trap and hold up to 95% of dirt and moisture at the door. The densely looped fibres grip debris from shoe soles rather than just pushing it to the side like a standard mat.
Can I put it in the washing machine?
Yes — Hug Rug mats are machine washable at 30°C. Wash when soiled and allow to dry flat or on a line. Do not tumble dry or use fabric softener, as this can affect the mat’s performance.
Will it slip on a hard floor?
The non-slip backing is designed to grip hard floor surfaces including tiles, laminate, and hardwood. For additional grip on very smooth floors, a non-slip underlay mat can be used underneath.
Is it suitable for outdoor use?
Hug Rug mats are designed for indoor use at doorways and entry points. They can be used in a sheltered porch but are not intended for fully exposed outdoor conditions.
How do I keep it looking its best?
Shake or vacuum regularly to remove loose debris, and machine wash at 30°C when soiled. Regular washing maintains the mat’s colour vibrancy and trapping performance.
