What is a stop end used for?
A stop end (also called an end cap) permanently seals the open end of a pipe — used when capping off an unused branch, completing a pipe run, or decommissioning a connection.
Do I need to solder it?
No — Tectite fittings are push-fit. Simply insert the pipe end fully into the fitting until it clicks into the internal grab ring. The seal is immediate and permanent.
Is it removable?
Tectite Sprint fittings are demountable with a release tool. Standard Tectite fittings are designed as permanent connections. Check the product type on the packaging for removability.
